Allana Ferguson bio
Allana represented Australia at the Rugby Sevens in 2013, then consecutive knee injuries forced Allana to stay off the field for some time before she made the transition back to league. Allana was the first to play in a union rugby game for women that was played by New South Wales in 2013 and was the main focus of that match against Queensland. Allana has added radio to her game, and has regular appearances as part of 2GB's Continuous Call Team. Beyond sports, Allana is also a fully qualified educator. Allana Ferguson holds the rare distinction of representing Australia in three sports - rugby sevens as well as touch, and rugby league. Allana Ferguson, Jillaroos footballer and rugby league player for the Jillaroos of Australia team, has had to put a premature ending to her career within the game after tearing her ACL on a fourth occasion. Ferguson, who is 25 already, had tears to the same ligament at the age of 15, 17 and 20, and a 4th tear meant she was over. Ferguson, JILLAROOS playmaker and fourth-year ACL injured, had to retire earlier. Ferguson had an injury to her ACL during training in November. This week, she confirmed this information in an interview with The Courier Mail.
